Happ's officially closed in October 2011.
I went out of state briefly after closing Happ's and then came back home to my family and the hills, trees and water of southwest
Washington that I love. I bought a piece of property in a beautiful little valley west of Chehalis and designed and built a
new home with lots of room for gatherings of family and friends. It is "only" a 2 bedroon, but actually is quite large, with a huge
area for entertaining and teaching and a sewing room where I have my sewing machine and loom set up so I can play whenever I want to.
I have a "piece of heaven" backyard with the creek bank about 25 feet off my covered back porch. I still have more brush to clear
and fences to build, but the chicken
house and green house are up and the garden area is falling into place. I have put in a bunch of raised planters and they
are planted and growing.
When I "go to town" it is just a short, peaceful drive through agricultural land. It feels so good to be home with family and
friends and have time to spend with them doing things I enjoy.
I am able to do a little traveling and am having fun doing some clinics and a little consulting here in the Pacific Northwest and
beyond. My life is on a roll. I am enjoying a peace and joy I have not had in years.
